Hello and welcome back to The Stone Soup Cook!
This week, everything’s coming up sweet basil! Basil is one of my all-time favorite herbs and this week, I’ve been sharing fun nutritional facts about this abundant herb and some crowd-pleasing recipes that you might not have thought of! On Monday, I shared a recipe for a nifty little cocktail called a “Sweet Basil Sling.” And yesterday, I shared my recipe for pesto. I also shared several great recipes that include pesto.
Today, I’m going to continue to ride the sweet basil train by sharing a recipe for a gorgeous summer fruit and sweet basil salad:

This salad combines the sundrenched sweetness of ripe summer berries and peaches, and adds a depth of flavor with a honey-lime dressing. The icing on top is the spicy-pungent herbaceousness of sweet basil ribbons tossed in at the last minute. Trust me–this will not only be very glamorous on the table, but a crowd-pleaser that will have your guests licking the bowl clean!
Tune in tomorrow for another variation on this salad!
Until then,
Peace, love and good food,
Keri
