What’s Cooking in Keri’s California Kitchen Tonight? Tomahawk Steak and Corn Salsa

Hello and welcome to The Stone Soup Cook and “What’s Cooking in Keri’s California Kitchen Tonight?”

Today, I’m featuring a great recipe to make for company. It’s easy enough to make and not have to worry about too much, glamorous enough to serve when you’re entertaining someone special and the best part is that it provides enough down time that you can enjoy visiting with your company while your dinner is cooking! That’s a win all the way around!

Tonight’s featured meal is grilled tomahawk steak(s) and corn salsa.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Tomahawk steak(s): one will easily feed two and maybe three.

Fresh lime juice for both the steak(s) and the salsa–figure 2 limes for each steak and 2 more for the salsa

Kosher salt

Additional steak seasoning of your choice

2-4 ears of corn

1-2 red bell peppers

Good quality olive oil

White pepper, or a little jalapeno

While you’re visiting with your guests before dinner, nibble on these fun starters:

Grilled artichokes:

And serve some crust focaccia or sourdough bread with this snappy little olive oil dipping oil:

Here’s what you’ll need for the starters:

Artichoke(s): figure one large artichoke for every 2-3 people

Lemon juice

Very good quality olive oil

Good quality olives

Herb de Provence

Pepper

Bread of your choice for dipping

I hope you enjoy this great menu that’s meant to share–

Tune in next week for more fun in my California kitchen!

Until then,

Peace, love and good food,

Keri
