Oh boy are these good margaritas. I tend to be a purist–over ice, salt on the rim, fresh-squeezed lime juice, blanco tequila, Cointreau, a hot day, street tacos, rice, beans. Mic drop.

Old-School Margaritas

Instructions

  1. Add lime juice, tequila and Cointreau to a carafe or measuring cup (for convenience), stir well to mix.

  1. Pour a little salt onto a plate. Dip the rim of a chilled glass in the margarita mixture, and then dip the wet rim in salt. Fill glass with ice and pour margarita over ice. Serve immediately.
